Title: great day saturday may 12
Post by astroflyer on May 12th, 2012 at 4:45pm
Despite the wind a lot of flying at the field this morning.

Paul test flew his new extra this morning.  Flew great in quite a bit of wind.

the runway was wet and sticky and like my Mr. Mulligan friday night, the extra dug in and nosed over on the first landing.  Note the water droplets flying around the plane.

The extra touched down just fine later in the morning after the wind dried things out a bit.

Alain's L-39 albatros, his "twenty dollar plane" made it's first flight under Alain's guidance.

the first hand launch resulted in a broken nose, quickly fixed in pix one.

2. craig launches.  a much better toss!

3. after the recovery.  see video. ;D

in other flying

1. Shawn heads home after a fun day.  Thanks for lunch shawn.  It was great!

2. richard back from a  stryker flight.  It was a solo venture as he had the only stryker at the field saturday.

3.  My strutless Mr. Mulligan in the pits.  One more flight this morning when the winds were lighter and an added 10 degrees of flap allowed a much slower landing speed and she stayed on her mains for the roll out.  yahoo!
