Beautiful almost windless day at the field today with a large crowd dining on barbecued chicken provided by Alain and Rick.  Thanks guys, it was great!

a lot of flying in strykers, fun cubs, a bonanza, a corsair, a me-109, a t-28, two spitfires, my micro habu and an assortment of helis.

fun cubs could well be on their way to besting strykers in the bashing department as Geoff, Jon, and Chris had a couple of interesting flights with their planes in sometimes very close proximity.  There were two collisions, nothing broken except Chris's prop.

in this first photo I squeezed the shutter a fraction too soon as Jon and Geoff came together in this manoeuver.

Unfortunately my aerial video didn't work out very well but I will try and piece together something from it. Still a work in progress!

It looks like Shawn and I just bumped together and I don't see my battery ejecting. But right after we collided I had no control and the battery was nowhere to be seen when I recovered it so it must have happened in the air. Of course I tried to fly it to the ground anyway. LOL.

Wow those pictures are awesome! Guess Geoff/Chris were in my invading my Fun Cub space. It was just a perfect flying day, and thanks guys for the lunch! I think that it is safe to say that Alain is hooked on the warbird formation flying! I am just wondering where are the pictures of my big Beaver? :D

Excellent!  The Fun Cubs look like they are way too much fun.  I've dropped by Geoff's and likely will pick one up sometime in September.  It will be my introduction to electric flight.

I still chuckle to myself when I think back to the Avon fun fly when Jon showed no real interest in the gallon of fuel he had just won  :)
