Title: DETOUR to the field
Post by one nano on Sep 16th, 2013 at 8:50pm
gentlemen, as of today the bridge just prior to highway 224 to our field has been damaged and is closed until further notice.  (this is the bridge that is being worked on for the past while)

this will not be a problem for anyone coming from the truro side of the bridge, but anyone coming from the halifax side will need to make a detour.

one way is to bypass the usual exit off the 102 and continue to stewiacke, then come back on highway 2 to the 224 turn.

alternately you can turn take the road (in Milford almost across from the post office boxes) that took us to our old field on the neiforth farm.  then use the cooks brook road to the left about a kilomenter past the neiforth farm to get you onto the 224 three or four kilometers above the saint andrews river road. I sometimes use that route from my home and it is about 1.5 kilometers further than through shubenacadie.

Coming through dutch settlement and then turning left on the 224 towards shubie would do the same thing.
