Rick and I spent the day at the field flying in some windy conditions.  The site is totally dry and you can now drive right into the pits!

Windy this morning, but after lunch things accelerated to what I would call fierce.  My funcub sitting on the runway was being blown backwards faster than you could walk.  On landing I had to hold throttle on so rick could go catch it, and a couple more clicks of throttle would get it up and flying again.

windsock was often straight out and transport canada says it has to be 28kph or better to do that.  Luckily the wind was almost down the runway.  crosswind there today would have been treacherous!

had several flights on the sport cub also and it is awesome in that wind and does touch and goes with ease.  nice airplane!

all in all a great day!

unless it is required this weekend, I will start mowing the runway next weekend.  :)

Definately won't need mowing this weekend alain, but probaby will the following one.

Windy or not, it was a good day of flying.  lol
