fabulous flying day august 25

Beautiful almost windless day at the field today with a large crowd dining on barbecued chicken provided by Alain and Rick. Thanks guys, it was great!

a lot of flying in strykers, fun cubs, a bonanza, a corsair, a me-109, a t-28, two spitfires, my micro habu and an assortment of helis.

fun cubs could well be on their way to besting strykers in the bashing department as Geoff, Jon, and Chris had a couple of interesting flights with their planes in sometimes very close proximity. There were two collisions, nothing broken except Chris's prop.

in this first photo I squeezed the shutter a fraction too soon as Jon and Geoff came together in this manoeuver.

But right after we collided I had no control and the battery was nowhere to be seen when I recovered it so it must have happened in the air. Of course I tried to fly it to the ground anyway. LOL.
