A very windy day but still several flyers turned up and we did a lot of flying.

Jon brought his new Cularis glider and just had to test it today AND wanted to tow it up with his large Carbon cub, assigning the duties of piloting the tow ship to me.  Neither one of us had ever done this before.  ALL in a strong crosswind.

we used the sd card from Jon's dx8 to load the cub data into rick's dx8 so we had the two radios needed.

Trevor provided a nice towing cord and we were soon airborne.  Takeoff was extremely easy and straight forward on each flight but following along in the glider was a bit harder and Jon had to come off the tow early in the first flight after some gyrations by the glider.  Later flights were better, but mainly I was towing the glider too fast with the cub and it was oscillating on the line quite a bit which you can see in the mobious video link below.

that big old cub just soldiered on as if there was nothing hanging off its tail.  LOL

pretty fun stuff to do though and we hope to do more of it sunday.
