I can't believe I didn't take any pictures on my iPhone but I didn't.

The problem is in the lower part of the road which was smoothed out to take the excavator in for the clearing in the north field which is in progress. Now that part of the road is a huge mess after the past few days of rain. Paul and I both made it up the road with no problem (both vehicles are AWD) but Al wasn't so lucky. And then Alain after that. Lots of fun getting them out with very much appreciated help from our friendly neighbours on the last property before the road starts.

I expect that the excavator won't make it up there again either so maybe it will all get fixed Smiley

Rob has some shots of my car mired in the mud.  perhaps he'll post one or two.

Yes, it was an interesting morning.  I went slightly left at one wet spot to miss the ruts left by earlier visitors.  Unfortunately that flat smooth area that looked solid was literally quicksand.  When I got out my drivers side I immediately went down right to my ankles.

It's an amazing mess there at the moment.

Had a lot of help there this morning from the Eisenor family at the end of lynch road who helped get Alain and me free and who cleaned up my car afterward.  Amazing people.  My car seats were covered in mud  as I had to keep willow in the car and Judy washed them with a carpet cleaner.  Good as new..

I wish we did have to take more pictures ,  when Rick and I where trying to walk around Al's car we almost went up to our knee's in mud, I had mud inside my rubber boots .   I pulled my foot out of my boots once because of the suction from the mud.

Hey Guys, It shows that there is "Strength in Numbers " as that what it took to "Man Handle" Als car out of the mud. I am not sure a tow truck would have made it so thumbs up to the boys. Cheesy
After all the mess, however it took the girls to really make it right ! Al's car left the field perfectly Clean ,you can see them in action, what great neighbors ASRCM have now next to our site. Cheers to that Family for a job "Well Done" ! Wink

Doubt anyone is going to be fool enough to try and drive up there tomorrow trevor, and you really should be a club member before using the site on your own.

Checked the road this morning.  Drying but still a couple of treacherous spots.  There has been traffic up the road which has left some rutting such that low slung cars are probably going to be bottoming out.

The worst spot is at the turn where we go up over the pasture.  The hollow there is filled with water and no draining.  Several vehicles have gone around the holes and left deep criss cross rutting.

I wish the road had not been touched. You cannot build up a road and drain it without ditching and there is no ditching along almost the entire problem area.

Just back from checking the field and the road.

The road is dry except for the hole at the bottom of the hill where we go up over the field.  Traffic has been going around this spot.  Some rutting but ok if you take it easy.

the other wet spots are just damp and a higher vehicle can just breeze over them. A low slung car can get through but go easy.

Stay near the center.  The road edges are still somewhat soft.

The runway needs cutting.

so who is flying saturday?

great job craig.  Believe me, it was appreciated.  Rick and I were pleasantly surprised to see it done.

And when we were packing up about 6pm, Alain came over the hill on the mower and proceeded to do the pits.  We are going to miss Alain when he goes!
