Field Access Road
Sep 23rd, 2016 at 8:24pm

The access road to the field is in much need of repair. My friend Dave Lynch lives 4 houses from the Lynch Rd. Dave had a look at the road. This is his suggestion.
Have the land owner repair the road.
If we have to do it ....there are 2 ways. Have a dozer level the ruts. Level 4-5 tandem loads of crushed rock. It should also be ditched.
A cheaper method would be to level 4-5 tandem loads of gravel. Then a excavator could scrape the high ridges & fill the hollows.
Dave estimates 4 hours work for a backhoe/excavator.  Dave has a machine.

I was supposed to get a quote for some gravle as I work for part of Dexters/Municipal contracting. They own the rocky lake rock quarry. I'll get that answer this coming week. I may get a discount on gravle and the truck. Or possible truck random loads in my salfe. Stay tuned

Dave Lynch has a backhoe/excavator for $75/hr.
Should someone not ask the land owner first to fix up the road?

The land owner doesn't own the road. Otherwise we would probably have a gate.
